What all is required of a modern rolling war machine?
Chassis/Propulsion
- We use the wheeled HAF 932 case.
- How do we make it move?
- Where do we want it to go?
Power Plant
ummm....a few Li car batteries?
Sensing
- Interconnect: Phidget 1018 8/8/8 interface kit
- 8 analog inputs, 8 digital outputs, 8 digital inputs
- Data and power via USB-B.
- Object localization: MaxBotix EZ-1 Sonar (about 6m radius in 3d),
- need a laser rangefinder if we're going to launch anything worth a damn
- Ambiance: Phidget 1125 Humidity/Temperature sensor, Phidget 1133 sound sensor (or better yet, get a good microphone)
- Motion: PhidgetSpatial 1056 3/3/3 compass/gyroscope/accelerometer
- Also 3-dimensional magnetic sensor
- Connects via USB, not analog sensor cable
Matter
Everything I've seen requires more space and power than we have available, and would require dexterity beyond that which we can trivially automate. It's probably better to add basic scoop-and-return capability.
- Mass: AccuLab VIC-612 USB digital scales (610g x .01g) + ACCUSB rs232 to USB adapter
- Spectrometry: SPECTECH UCS30 USB nuclear spectrometer
- There appears (unsurprisingly) to be no spectrometer worth mentioning that can use USB power. Hijack a 6/8-pin PCIe line?
Electromagnetics
FIXME: Need detail antennae; obviously, we won't be using overmuch off-the-shelf...
- Ionizing radiation: SparkFun SEN-09848 USB Geiger counter using ATMega328/ BlackCat Systems GM-45
- Gamma: Black Cat Systems GM-50 (long; 9.5" enclosure!)
- Visible light: Phidget 1056 light sensor, Logitech C310 720p camera
- IR: MosChip Semiconductor MCS7780 4Mbps Fast IrDA
- Microwave: 2.4GHz IEEE802.11 b/g/n, 3.7GHz IEEE802.11y-2008, 5GHz IEEE802.11 a/n, Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth
- L1/L2 (1575.42MHz and 1227.60MHz): GlobalSat BU-353 GPS receiver
- L3/L5:
- RF: 13.56MHz (RFID)/NFC: ACR122U R/W from http://buynfctags.com,
- OpenPCD for longrange skimming (read-only)
- RF: 900MHz ISM (RFID): DLP-RFID-UHF1B R/W from DigiKey
Circuits
- NI USB-4065 USB digital multimeter (USB-powered!)
Jamming
Obviously, any jammer worth the word will require its own power. We can of course use layer 2+-specific attacks where appropriate with effects greatly multiplied from the input power, in terms of additional "channel noise"....
Block interfaces
- Flash: IOGear GFR 281 "56-in-1" reader/writer
- eSATA
- IEEE 1394
- USB 1.x, 2.0, 3.0
Character interfaces
- Magstripe: Tyner MSR* reader/encoder
Weaponry
- General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (GDATP) MK47 MOD 0 "Striker" 40mm grenade launcher?
- Just 38lbs empty!!
- Where to purchase?
