The following Mega and Primal forms have been released in Pokémon GO. A single Pokémon species may have more than one Mega form. While in their Mega form, Pokémon cannot be traded, nor used to defend Gyms or to fight in Max Battles. Each Trainer may have only one Mega/Primal evolution active at a time. Pokémon caught from raids may already have one or more Mega levels active. Otherwise, an initial cost must be paid in the relevant Mega Energy to activate Level 1. Progress towards Level 3 can be made by the first Evolution of a day, or paying a price in the relevant Mega Energy. Some Pokémon can reach Mega Level 4 at a cost of 5,000 of the relevant Mega Energy once they have reached Level 3. Each Mega Evolution has its own associated Mega Energy.
