Android ceased receiving updates on the Pixel XL 2 ("taimen") following 2020's 11.0.0.
Jailbreaking
- Go to Settings→About Phone and get the firmware version/build number.
- Mine was RP1A.201005.004.A1 (December 2020)
- Go to the Google Firmware Download page for "taimen", and download the image
- Unzip the archive, unzip the image-taiman-*.zip found within, and find boot.img. Mine was 42MB.
